So, although Friday has more features than Squarespace, is it easier to use and build the ideal website? Well, that’s what Friday was designed to do. We want you to work on your website and get that beautiful Friday feeling, which is why we ensured our users can easily understand each tool and feature we offer.
How do we know it works? We ran blind tests and we’re pretty pleased with ourselves to say that we scored better than Squarespace in terms of ease of use and configuration. Our test users stated that Squarespace and competitors to Squarespace are not easier to use or customize, and it’s more restrictive on all accounts.
Other users in our test trial who believed they were buying into a premium service with Squarespace found themselves trapped with very little room for creativity and customization. They got the ease of use they wanted, but only if they stuck with the templates offered.

We know the Squarespace website builder is renowned for its beautiful templates, but that seems to be only if you don’t want to change them. You choose a template, and you’re stuck with restrictive layouts and content design, limited font color and freedom. It feels more Monday than Friday.
When you use Friday, the world is your oyster. You have over 100 templates to choose from, and you’re able to modify the code of all of them, depending on how adventurous you’re feeling. And you can fine tune each template, so it looks and performs flawlessly across all devices.

And after running some blind tests on Friday and WordPress installation and configuration, we are proud to say that we scored higher than WordPress in terms of ease of use.
